Song comic 1

I have this grand notion that people might have fun guessing what the song is just from the comic. I don't have lyrics directly in the images unless the song implies speech or text. If it proves more "annoying as shit" than "fun puzzle", I'll scrap the idea and update the posts with the song title.

I've also added an escalating set of clues, along with the solution, following the artwork.

Since this is my first one, I discovered the challenge of portraying songs that have a chorus (ie. most songs) in a visual format like a comic. Do you repeat the panels that illustrate the chorus? Stick them up front?

For this song, I felt like the chorus acted as a nice capstone summary for the song, so I chose to only include the comic illustration of the chorus at the very end.

Also learned that some more abstract concepts that are easy to put into words are extremely difficult to draw! I just did my best and skipped what I couldn't figure out visuals for. And again, leaned on that information design background of mine.

Didn't include lyrics so as not to run afoul of copyright issues. But if you're not familiar enough with the song to know them by heart, go ahead and pull them up side-by-side in another browser window once you've guessed (or revealed) the answer. Just remember to skip the chorus until the end.
